Total Yarding: 2,474

Numbers lifted for the weaner sale with close to 1,500 steers and 1,000 heifers penned. The quality was good and there was strong competition on most lots. The market sold to a dearer trend for the better bred and more popular breeds, with secondary cattle firm. Vendor bred cattle also attracted stronger trends.

Light weaner steers under 200kg sold from $430 for very light British cross steers, making to $1,060/head for Angus steers. Medium weight steers sold from $840 to $1,345 for C muscle and heavy weights made from $1,180 to $1,430/head. Most of the better cattle made from 470c to 530c/kg on average. Light weaner heifers started at $375 and reached $1,000/head. Medium weights sold from $650 to $1170 and heavy Black Baldy heifers reached $1,290/head.
