Total Yarding: 695

Numbers lifted and the quality was good. There was a good run of weaners and more medium weight yearlings but only a few heavy trade cattle. Grown cattle made up about a third of the yarding and included 180 cows. The market sold to varying trends.

Light weaner steers were 30c/kg softer while the medium weights 200kg and better were firm. Medium weights sold from 414c to 492c/kg. Medium weight weaner heifers were dearer selling from 414c to 445c/kg. A much better run of medium weight yearling steers sold 10c to 20c dearer to restocking and feeder orders and ranged from 360c to 449c/kg. Heavy feeder steers were 5c softer, making from 379c to 390c/kg. Medium weight feeder heifers sold to a dearer trend but all had more cover and received from 378c to 413c/kg. The few trade cattle sold to a slightly dearer trend with steers reaching 410c and heifers 406c/kg.

Prime grown steers made from 370c to 395c/kg. Grown heifers lifted 20c to 30c with strong competition from both processors and restockers and sold from 285c to 388c/kg depending on age. Cows were back 5c to 10c after a very strong sale last week. Medium weight 2 score cows 258c to 278c/kg. Heavy 3 and 4 scores 285c to 318c/kg.
