Lamb numbers lifted and the quality was good. Trade and heavy lambs were well supplied and there were a few lambs that suited restocking orders and feedlots. Merino lambs were in short supply. Not all the usual buyers operated in a steady market.

Restocking lambs sold from $75 to $205 to go back onto crop and $210/head to feed. Merino stores sold to $169 and $207/head to processor. Trade weights sold from $180 to $222/head. Carcase prices averaged 900c to 920c/kg cwt. Heavy and extra heavy lambs mainly sold from $220 to $250/head or around 850c/kg cwt. Hoggets reached $220 for crossbreds and $226/head for Merinos.

Mutton numbers lifted and quality varied. Prices sold to similar rates. Merino wethers sold from $100 to $232 and crossbred wethers reached $240/head. Merino ewes $97 to $233 and the heavy crossbred ewes did not have the weights and reached $245/head.
