Market Report – 14 June

Lamb numbers were down in a mixed quality yarding of mostly trade weight lambs. Few heavy or extra heavy lambs were yarded. Restockers and processors battled for the secondary stock.

Light trade weight lambs made $122 to $146, medium trade made from $136 to $153 to average 630c/kg cwt and the heavy trade lambs sold from $150 to $165/head.

Mutton numbers were down in a mixed yarding of mainly good quality this week where the market was back up to $25/head. 18-24kg Merino ewes averaged 534c/kg cwt. Heavy crossbred ewes made to $184, Merino wethers sold to $175 and hoggets made to $175/head.
